Cobalt's Castaways Cover Reveal!

8:00 AM 0 Comments

You did it! We now have 50 followers on the campaign. I'm so excited. It felt like a huge goal, but y'all knocked it out of the park a good two weeks before we go live. Now the ball is back in my court. Now the the cover is in, I'm blessed to have Eric Cockrell working on the final graphics for the campaign. He says that I have to record my own audio for the video though. This is my first time creating a Kickstarter video so I'm pretty nervous!

But, you're not here to hear about my nerves. You're here to see the cover! So without further ado...

Isn't it spectacular? James Sims did an amazing job. I couldn't be happier with it! You'd never know that it's his first prose cover. We're going to base the bookmark (stretch goal #1) off of it. Guys, I'm so excited for this cover and for this book. I cannot wait to share them with all of you!

If you're interested in buying the book during its pre-order, go to Kickstarter and click on the Notify Me on Launch button.  October 1st will be here before we know it! Remember, the book won't be available on Amazon until June at the earliest.

Cover Reveal : Return to the Toy Store

3:04 PM 0 Comments
Oh my gosh, guys! I've been so busy that I haven't kept up with the site at all! I promise that I'm going to do my best to get the recipes flowing again and maybe even the occasional book review. For now though, I want to tell you all about my brand new book and what's in the works for it.

Let's start with the big reveal...the cover! Done once again by Eric Cockrell, I am absolutely in love with it. Ready to see it? Let's go!

Isn't it marvelous? You may even recognize some of those characters. There's Horace, Charlie and two of the cheetah triplets. There's also Harley (the bunny) and Jack (the sock monkey) who will be introduced in the new book.

Return to the Toy Store is the follow up book to Tales from the Toy Store. It has 100+ pages of stories filled with all of your favorite characters. It will be launching for pre-orders on Kickstarter on October 1st and will be available on Amazon in the future.  If you'd like to check it out, make sure to click on the link above and get notified as soon as it's live!

Squeal! It's here! I can finally reveal to you the cover of my newest (and first solo) book! It was done by Eric Cockrell and I am totally in love with it. Somehow we managed to have the exact same image in our head and I think, with his skill, it came out perfectly!

What do you think? Isn't it fabulous? Stay tuned for more information on the book, including the release date which will be here soon!

Cover Reveal: Sarah's Journal

10:00 AM 0 Comments

During NaNoWriMo this year, I was hard at work doing the final edits for The Tether - Except One and working on a piece that starts at the end of None Good and carries over into Except One. I was nervous as all get out because up until then, this had been Nick's world, his sandbox, and I had just gotten to play in it. As soon as Except One ended, it became my world. Nick is just a consultant and my favorite person to poke me when he feels that I ought to be writing.

Fast forward to the end of December... Except One was now available on Amazon and I wrapped up the last bits of what became Sarah's Journal. I handed it off to Nick, prayed he'd like it, and breathed a huge sigh of relief when he told me it was perfect. I'm sure that it isn't perfect, but him liking it was all I needed to breathe again. Then, the wait began...It would be up to him to add in all the legal mumbo jumbo, format it, and to create the cover.

On Thursday night, as I was walking to my car, I received a message with this in it:

Isn't it gorgeous?!? Nick does such an amazing job and I feel blessed beyond belief that he not only trusts me with Sarah's world but he puts in this kind of work to make sure that what we put out is beautiful. I couldn't wait to share it with all of you, but I promised those on my fan page that they'd get first peek. If you'd like to be among those, please feel free to like the page!

Stay tuned for the next exciting announcement about The Tether - Sarah's Journal coming soon!
