Hold onto your hat because with this 7 part series, you are in for one heck of a ride.  When I first started reading this series, I wasn't sure how I was going to enjoy it. The next thing I knew, I'd finished episode 5 and was scrambling to upload the rest of the series to my kindle. Then, I didn't put it down until I'd finished it. The story is fast paced and you really get into Molly's head and can feel her fear and emotional rollercoaster. I don't want to give anything away, so I'm just going to say that Bonnie Paulson has never let me down and though I was at first sceptical, she didn't with this series either!

Mystery with a touch of glamor. Like so many other reviews that you might read, I'm going to say that if you're a fan of the old fashioned Agatha Christie style whodunit, you're going to most likely be a fan of this book. While the book starts out with even the reader in the dark, it doesn't take long for the pieces to start coming together. This doesn't mean that you know who did it! Sometimes my opinion changed from chapter to chapter. If you're looking for a great mystery read (with other books in the series) that doesn't have a lot of eww gross, this may just be the book for you.

When it comes to historical fiction, the history needs to be a part of the story and in this case, it certainly was. The author did a great job in keeping the story right where it should be. We learn of the early rumblings of the Civil War through the character's conversations and of the time itself throughout the descriptions in the book. The story has a wonderful pace to it and I admit that it was the mystery that had me coming back to see what happened. The characters themselves were a bit too perfect in their roles. I found Sutton to be the worst..I don't think the book showed a single character flaw and we all know that nobody is perfect. Overall, I'd say to read the story for the story..the characters are just a piece of it.

This book was an easy read that stole my heart. She longs to start her own B&B and restaurant to prove herself, not only to her family but to herself and to follow her dream. He longs to help foster children aging out of foster care because he's been there. These are two characters who had real depth and drew you into the story. They had their own personal struggles and struggles between them to get through and the author led you through until you couldn't wait to see how it ended. All in all? A great holiday read.

The last book in this series! I'm so not ready for it to be over. I loved each and every novella, without fail. This one..obviously no exception. I loved Sadie and her ocd tendencies. They reminded me of myself during good times. Erik is a total doll and together, they're happily ever after. It's another sweet, fast read from this series and if you loved any of the others, you'll have no regrets picking this one up.

While it appears that this is the 5th book in a series, this really does well as a standalone book. While it is supposed to be a retelling of The Frog Prince, I honestly never had that vibe. Of course, it's entirely possible that it's been too long since I read that particular fairy tale. What I did notice was a very well written book that is perfectly suitable for the teen and up set. There's adventure, a bit of romance and more than a bit of bravery involved as Colin and Margaretha race to save themselves, her family and her father's entire kingdom. In some ways, I felt as if it were a coming of age story as Margaretha finds her true self that was buried under all of the teasing that was done by her family. My suggestion? If you have an up and coming reader or if you yourself enjoy a twist on an old story, check out this series of books by Melanie Dickerson.

Learning can be fun and this book is perfect for that. Filled with super fun illustrations and a story that keeps moving, you and your kids might just fall in love with this book series. Just don't tell them that they may be learning along the way! While the book says that it's geared towards middle-grade readers, I would put it more at an upper elementary age group. It's a bit simplistic for my middle schooler and some of the words would be too complex for the early elementary crowd. Since the book is about 94 pages long, I think that it would be perfect for those early chapter book readers. The story is fun and fast paced and before you know it, you'll be asking when the second installment comes out.
