I'm not a big fan of serials and yet, I can't stop myself from choosing this series over and over again. It seems that I need to know what happens next!
The Good:
I'm enjoying seeing more and more of the girls' backstories. They're interesting characters in themselves which is nice to see in a "group" setting.
The Bad:
I'm just not feeling the interpersonal relationships in this segment as much as I did the others. Also, while I'm enjoying the bits of the "original" four, I really would like to see more. I'm hoping that as we get further in, more of the backstory will be revealed.
The Summary:
I'm still really enjoying this series. I would warn you to read them as back to back as possible. I had to let a month or so go by in between this and the 3rd and found myself confused for the first bit as to who was who and what they were doing.

When I first came across this book, I had no idea what a shen is. I'm still not 100% sure, but what I am sure of is that I read this book and I have opinions.
The Good:
This book is fast paced and easy to read. The characters are interesting, although it left me really wanting to know a lot more about all of them. There was just enough back story to keep it interesting, but not enough that I really felt as if I knew any of the characters by the end of the book. I did find the story premise to be incredibly interesting and I love the idea of magical creatures existing right in front of our eyes.
The Bad:
I received an advanced reader copy which means that the book hasn't gone through it's final edits, but I do hope that the proofreader/editor fixes some of the mistakes that jumped out at me. Above I mentioned not really feeling as if I know the characters. It's not just the characters though. There are traditions and histories mentioned in passing that I would love to know a lot more about. I felt as if some things were simply skipped over and I'd like to see a bit more attention paid to important moments so that the reader realizes that they're important.
The Summary:
This book is a fun, fast read. I will warn you though that if reading about sex turns you off, this isn't the book for you. I found it to be a compelling blend of story and smut. The author made the two work well together and I'm looking forward to possibly checking out the second book in this series when it comes out in September.

I was lucky enough to have Annalee send me the second book in her Celestial Rose series and honestly guys, I know this is the beginning of the review, but I have to tell you that I've already been on Amazon looking to see when the third book is going to be released.
The Good:
Twists, turns, new characters, familiar characters and all of them wonderful! I started reading and couldn't stop. Just ask my cat who enjoyed a nice nap on my back while I sprawled out on the couch! There is so much that I want to say but I can't because it will be spoiler city!
The Bad:
There's something about the author's writing style that it always takes me a chapter or two to slip into it. I know I've filed this under bad but it really isn't, it's just different and once I get going, I can't stop reading.
The Summary:
Go and buy Eternal Entity, this book, and pre-order Eternal Devastation. It's been a long time since I've been so excited about reading a series and this one has me wishing Eternal Damnation was on my Kindle right now so that I could read it!

I fell in love with this cover as soon as I saw it. How could I not? It's absolutely gorgeous and reminds me of The Tether Saga book covers. I know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover,but it's this cover that had me approaching the author. Luckily, she said sure and here we are!
The Good:
Holy cow! This story will pick you up and not just carry you, but will sprint with you until the end. That doesn't mean that the story is even slightly rushed, but that once you start this book, you won't want to put it down until you've read every last word. In fact, I was up until 4 am because I kept saying, "Just one more chapter." until I ran out of chapters and then first thing this morning, I messaged Annalee thanking her for my lack of sleep.
The Bad:
There were few problems with grammar and the like. Obviously it wasn't enough to make me stop reading because I'm still yawning. My brain is trained though to see these and so they jumped at me. I wouldn't let this stop me from reading this book again and again. Also, the ending felt a bit cliffhangerish which is something I don't like in books. However, I knew book 2 had already been released so I'm forgiving it...
The Summary:
An incredible book that I'm hoping turns into an incredible series. I hope that the ending isn't what it appears to be but I'm not saying anything more than that because you really need to check it out for yourself.
