Book Review: More Than Just the Talk: Becoming Your Kids' Go-To Person about Sex

9:01 PM 0 Comments
A youth expert reveals how to become your kids' key source of information about dating, temptation, purity, and sex by engaging them in open, ongoing conversations.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ahh...the talk. The conversation that every parent "looks forward" to having with their children. I'm going to be honest. There wasn't really anything that surprised me with this book. Then again, I've also discovered that I am a lot more open about these things than some other people. That being the case, people, including young folk, tell me a lot of things.
All of that being said, this is a pretty good book to attempt to prepare you for this defining moment in your child's life. There's a lot of quality information.
Check it out...buy it...read it...write your own reviews of it. ;)
Book Review: $10 Great Dates: Connecting Love, Marriage, and Fun on a Budget
10:00 AM 0 Comments
Marriage experts Peter and Heather Larson and David and Claudia Arp propose 52 fun, creative ideas for meaningful yet inexpensive dates that will help energize relationships.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It's tough to review a book about great dates, when you're not currently dating. However, I do have faith that somewhere down the road, some guy and I are going to start dating and this book will come in handy!

It's broken down into categories of dates, such as At-Home, Outdoor, etc. I'm not sure that all of them really fall into the $10 category, but I bet that you guys can get creative within the ideas. After all, every date should include a little bit of the people involved, don't you think?

I love how this book is organized, the fun ideas that it includes, and honestly, I'm just missing the guy! If you're interested in checking out this book, head on over to Amazon, pick it up and start planning for some fun dates ahead!
